Rated 1 out of 5 by from Whites are Grey... Purchased this machine less than two years ago. Sales team ASSURED Me that my first front loader was a lemon and this one would clean clothes with no odor or major extended run times. Sadly all my whites are now grey, the tub has a bad odor ( again) and when filled , the machine cannot turn itself off from a large load= after 3 hours the clothiers are in a wet heap in the bottom. In our home, any excessively dirty clothes are washed in our forty year old washer in the basement, so there is no reason for this machine to not be clean smelling inside. We leave the door and pullout soap dispenser open always to allow air to circulate, and and we put a vinegar solution cycle through it every 3-4 months. Peroxide or bleach is used in small amounts for light-colored ( going in ) loads. This machine will cost you money and time while you 1) wait for it to cycle through medium to large loads, 2)re-puchase or dry clean white clothing, and 3)beg a repairman to make it a washing clean machine not a grey staining machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beward OMG the repairman just left. He told us that the outer drum of our one year old machine was destroyed and there was no warrantee on that plastic part. The reason is most likely because the entire machine has to be taken apart to fix it and it would be very expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase I did a lot of research before I bought. I'm glad I did because I'm positive I made the correct decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Washer/Dryer Ever Purchased! I have never had laundry units in my house (my whole adult life) its tough going to the laundramat twice-three times per week. Three kids and a husband makes five and FINALLY I bought the Maytag set. My life is changed, the fact that I can stack them and it has a normal capacity for clothing was something I never knew was available! Im so very pleased with the HE washer capabilities and the steam Dryer is wonderful with the sensing and even the sounds it makes are pleasant! Im cleaning and re cleaning clean things because I love using these so much!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from money pit I had a bad experience with this product. The first time water inlet broke. 2nd time clothes came out too wet. 3rd time (13 months after warranty) the main computer board broke and the unit had to be replaced. I took out the extended warranty but they fail to tell you they do not replace the product they give you a gift card for the price you paid for it . So if you got it on sale and there is not a sale at the time you purchase another, you are out the difference, have to wait for another sale, or buy another washer. For me this is not an option since mine are stacked. You also loose the rest of you extended warranty and have to buy another. ie I am out 400 dollars. 200 for the sale price 100 of the old warranty and 100 to buy a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So nice!! You can buy with confidence!! I have had this washer for over 3 months now. I am pleased. I wanted to share information that I wondered when I was looking at it. The led display is a orange/yellow color. The washer does not have a light in it. The dryer does though. The buttons are sensitive but you have to hold the start button for a few seconds before it comes on so it's not really a big deal. I did put mine on pedestals though. The button sounds and signals are fairly loud and do not have volume control. The machine is quiet though. The laundry detergent drawer pulls out where you add detergents. It does seem to hold a little amount of water in the fabric softener section but is not that big do a deal. The dispenser drawer only holds detergent for a single load. On my moms old front loader you can hear water in the drum when you turn it trying to reach something on the side with this washer there is no evidence of standing water inside of the drum. One time I forgot that I washed a load of clothes and found them a few days later and I rehashed them and the clothes and the washer smelled fresh afterwards. I have washed just about everything there's to wash and everything has come out fresh and clean. So far the only thing that it seems to have trouble washing is my microfiber water absorbent bath mats. When I get them out they are still really wet and have to run them through the drain and spin cycle. Here are the cycles and estimated times. Normal 43 mins Cold wash 1:34 Wrinkle control 54mins Delicate 43mins Bedding 1:02 Clean washer with afresh 1:03 Drain and spin 14 mins Sanitize 1:21 Allergen 1:44 Overnight wash&dry 26 mins (it continues to toss your clothes and sends in fresh air. It's meant for one or two items and is nice when you need a certain shirt and you toss it in and go to bed. Once I had the shirt completely dry the other time it was damp. I've also washed a real load on this quick cycle and just stopped it after it was done washing. ) Power wash 2:30 (this is the only one I haven't used.) If you fill the washer too full it will take longer than what it says because it has to try to balanced the load. I've actually taken wet clothes out when I thought I could stuff in a few more things. It was just staying at 43 mins and it never changed. As soon as I took out a few pairs of jeans it was fine. This is a large washer but you can't cram it full like a top loader. Sometimes it'll say 34 minutes and then after that part is over it will jump down to 24 or some lesser number. It's not just on a timer but senses your clothes and figures out how much longer it needs. I like the washer and the matching dryer. I got it in granite and it's so pretty. I would buy this same one again. Everything's good so far! We all sat in front of it and watched it wash clothes the first time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Again....why did I wait so long? I absolutely LOVE this machine; we bought the pair and I cannot wait to do laundry! I love everything about it; the cycles are there, the clothes seem to get cleaner than in my replaced machine! This machine, coupled with it's matching dryer is the best investment we made in 48 years of marriage! Thank you for upholding the Maytag name! Great job!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Less than two years I bought this washing machine less than two years ago. The first break down occurred at 5 months (The locking mechanism failed). The second at 20 months (I still don't know what's wrong). I would not buy this machine again.
