WHAT DO YOU USE TO CLEAN A GLASS STOVETOP?

Help protect your cooktop and keep it ready to tackle mealtime by regularly cleaning it with a cooktop cleaner. Products like baking soda, vinegar, a nonabrasive cleaning pad, cooktop cleaner and a soft, dry cloth can all help keep your cooktop looking its best.

Refrain from using abrasive cleaners, bleach, rust remover, ammonia, steel wool pads, and abrasive washcloths or paper towels, as these may damage your cooktop surface. Refer to your appliance’s owner’s manual and the instructions on specific cleaning products for optimal results when cleaning your cooktop.

1. LET YOUR COOKTOP COOL

First, make sure your cooktop is turned off. For best results, let the surface of your glass stovetop cool until it’s warm, but not hot to the touch. If desired, spray your cooktop with vinegar, allowing it to soak into food residue.

2. SCRAPE AWAY EXCESS FOOD RESIDUE

While the cooktop is warm, use a cooktop scraper to help remove food residue. Scraping your cooktop at a 45-degree angle can help prevent unwanted scratching. It’s recommended that you wear an oven mitt during this step. Avoid using materials like steel wool, which could damage the cooktop surface.
